As a fully qualified TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher, I would be really pleased to hear from you if you would like to improve your English (whether that be spoken or written). Maybe you are working towards some exams – the Cambridge exams perhaps? Maybe you need some help preparing for this? Or you might just want somebody to help guide you and help you practice and improve your English.

Whatever your reasons; I would be happy to help.

Tutoring for All Abilities

I can offer one-to-one support in-person or online and I would recommend one-hour sessions maximum; too much time learning a language in one go can be overwhelming! I am happy to support all abilities, whether you are A1 or C2. If you are higher ability, you are more than welcome to tell me the areas you would like to work on – whether that be tenses, grammar or something else. If you are still very new to learning English, I will make our lessons as communicative as possible with engaging and memory-based tasks.

What to Expect from Lessons

As with teaching any topic or subject, it is important that my lessons with you appeal to a range of learning styles; some of our lessons will be very movement based to help secure our learning and memory (maybe not so much if your vocabulary is strong and you are C1 or C2). I will also incorporate images, songs, videos and written pieces into our lessons. If we are having an in-person lesson, tasks such as running dictation can also be really useful for helping with your understanding of a structure of a sentence.

I will make sure you have a clear structure in your lessons, and your understanding of the different word types/classes is clear so that you can make sense of and order all of the new vocabulary in your head.

Let’s Talk

If you would like to get in touch, please do. We can discuss your requirements and areas of English you would like to work on in more detail and then I can decide on an appropriate teaching structure from there. I look forward to hearing from you!
